I like to incorporate native species of timber into my guitars and I very much enjoy sourcing these myself. They include Sycamore, Walnut, Lime, Yew, Cherry, Pear, Apple and Hawthorn.
In order to source these timbers I sometimes purchase the whole tree or quantity of planked timber and I convert them myself. This leaves me with surplus that I offer for sale to other makers.
